International Dubbing Projects

My passion for languages and for communication with people from different backgrounds as well as an interest in movies and theatre have been the basis for work in international dubbing projects. For more than 20 years I have been active in this area, as a freelancer for translation and editing for movies and projects from all over the world.

These translations, which are the basis for successful lip-sync dubbing projects, are more to me than simple translations (and are there any simple translations? Is it not that translation is always the art of “Dire quasi la stessa cosa: Esperienze di traduzione” as Umberto Eco has aptly described this art in his famous book?).

In any dubbing project we have to take into account intercultural as well as language-based issues.
